The Gate City has been ranked in the top 25 percent in the nation out of 380 metropolitan areas by Area Development, a publication covering site selection and facility planning. Area Development Editor Geraldine Gambale stated that the leading locations such as Pocatello “managed to thrive emerging from the recession as economic leaders.” Forbes has listed Pocatello on “the Best Small Place for Business” rankings for 5 years in a row. The Gate City ranks #5 on lowest “Cost of Business”.
